EASTER TRADITIONS IN EUROPE

In Turkey we don't have Easter but we have another day to celebrate ; It is Ramadan Bayram. ( feast )
Ramadan feast is one of the religious holiday for Muslims. Before Ramadan everybody buy candies and bars of chocolate for the children. Mothers and grandmothers make desserts for Ramadan to serve their quests. Children visit their elders and kiss their hands and so they take lots of candies and chocolate. Ramadan feast continues for three days. Relatives visit each other and have dinner. While elders having a chat, children play in their bedrooms.

YOUTH AND SPORTS DAY

In Turkey ıt is celebrated on 19th May every year . Young people sing songs, dance, wear beautiful costumes with red and white. 'The Turkish Stars' , Turkish airforce aerobatic demonstration team, perform a public air show.
